Keeping cozy with my new cowl

Boy, has this been a cold winter so far!  Brrrrrrrrrrr.

I have made a few of these cowls and they are really nice to have around your neck and the softer the yarn the better!  While the cowl in the pattern was made using Loops & Threads Charisma yarn from Michael’s, any chunky yarn would make a nice cowl.  For me, there’s something relaxing about having a soft cowl rub up against my cheeks in the cold.

How to search Ravelry for most recently published patterns

Are you looking to find out what patterns have just been published on Ravelry?  I ran across this link just the other day. Log into Ravelry.com (it’s a free membership if you don’t already belong to this awesome knitting and crocheting community).  Click on the Patterns tab and on the left side, a little ways down the Recently Added Patterns section.  There are thumbnail photos for all the patterns and there is a link that will allow you to do an advanced search and set certain filters for just hats, let’s say.
